Audience Consensus
Overall, the audience consensus is largely negative. Reviewers cite a rushed and underdeveloped story, bland characters, and poor animation quality. While some appreciate the character designs and sound effects, the general feeling is that the adaptation failed to capture the potential of the source material.
Strengths
- Character designs were pleasing to the eye.
- The art is this anime's strongest aspect, with indulgent use of color and characteristically 90s character design.
- Sound effects were the highlight of the sound experience.
Weaknesses
- Plot meanders and never develops anything satisfactorily.
- Characters are listless, boring, and lack any originality.
- Artistically this anime is horrible.
- The biggest downside is that everything is crammed into 2 episodes.
- Very little to no background information or history is given on the characters which made it hard to have any emotion for the characters.
