Synopsis — from MyAnimeList
The story takes place in Tokyo Butei High School, a special school where armed detectives—"Butei"—are trained to use weapons. Kinji Tooyama is a second-year-student who has a special ability, but he keeps it a secret to maintain an ordinary, peaceful life; however, when he gets caught in a bombing on the way to school, he encounters H. Aria Kanzaki, the most powerful S-Rank Butei student in Assault Studies.
Audience Consensus
Audience opinions are somewhat split, with some finding it a fun, well-developed OVA episode that retains the charm of the main series. Others feel it's disappointing, lacking a proper conclusion and failing to capitalize on its premise, making it feel random and 'meh' despite fan service elements.
Strengths
- Same great art and sound as the anime
- Characters retain their established personalities
- Flows nicely and has development for an OVA
- Provides a nice side of Kinji and shows the girls being girls
Weaknesses
- Lacks a clear conclusion and feels random
- Doesn't explore the 'why' or 'what' of the plot
- Should have been more exciting, disappointing for fans expecting more
- Doesn't feature 'hysteria mode' activation
- Some ecchi scenes are between girls in the onsen
