Synopsis — from MyAnimeList
Short prologue OVA, bundled with manga volume vol.10. Elsie receives from Dokurou Skull, hell's branch chief of "counter measures", the task to go on earth and capture evil spirits that have escaped from hell.
Audience Consensus
The audience considers this OVA to be largely unnecessary, functioning merely as a short promotional clip for the main series. While the animation and art style are praised, the lack of substantial story and forgettable sound design leave viewers feeling it's skippable, especially when compared to the manga.
Strengths
- Animation is great and consistent with the series.
- Art style is loved by the reviewer.
Weaknesses
- The OVA is not needed and offers minimal story content.
- The pacing feels off, being presented as an OVA promo instead of with the first episode.
- Sound design and music are forgettable.
- Characterization of Dokuro Skull is uncertain and not particularly strong.
