Synopsis

It's now winter in Kamakura. When Satsuki tells her friends that she'd seen Manatsu, Ichika at first doesn't believe it. But on the day before her 15th birthday, Manatsu's mirror fragment inside Ichika's desk drawer mysteriously disappears. That evening, a young girl calling herself "Mafuyu, Manatsu's identical twin" appears before Ichika with a mischievous smirk on her face. (Source: AniDB)

Audience Consensus

The Uta-Kata special is a welcome addition that addresses some of the loose ends left by the original series, enhancing the overall experience. While it doesn't resolve every issue, it provides a satisfying conclusion to major plot points, with consistent art and enjoyable music. Some character development choices and unresolved subplots remain points of contention, but overall it is well-received.

Strengths

  • Enjoyable plot that ties up big details from the series.
  • Appropriate and enjoyable music.

Weaknesses

  • Some subplots and details remain underdeveloped.
  • A character's behavior feels unnatural.
  • Doesn't fully resolve all loose ends or character histories.
