Synopsis

Time flies by; Hiroyuki and Akari are 12th-graders now. Both of them and their friends have grown up gradually in someway, physically or mentally, but one of their best friends is missing: the lifelike android Multi. To their surprise, Multi is brought to their campus again without notice, yet she is no longer the same Multi they have known. (Source: ANN)

Audience Consensus

Audience opinion is divided, with many feeling it pales in comparison to the original To Heart in terms of production quality. However, some appreciate the stronger narrative and character development. The ending is often cited as emotionally resonant, redeeming some of the earlier shortcomings for those invested in the characters.

Strengths

  • Emotionally compelling storyline, especially towards the end.
  • Good character development, expanding on characters introduced in the first season.
  • Story is well-paced with romance neatly tied into the plot and characters.

Weaknesses

  • Significant drop in art and animation quality compared to the original To Heart.
  • Character personalities feel like an abomination of what they originally were.
  • Voice acting quality has dropped, with some performances sounding strained.
  • Generic and less detailed art style compared to the original.
