Synopsis — from MyAnimeList
Two years ago, the elves who lived in the hidden forest lost their homes due to a forest fire, now they are living in the Kanagawa Prefecture. This story however focuses on a human who becomes the roommate of an elf living in an apartment.
Audience Consensus
The audience is somewhat divided on this show due to its highly specific humor. While the premise of elves living in modern Japan is novel, the comedy relies heavily on local Kanagawa cultural references, making it inaccessible to many viewers. Those outside the Kanto region may find the jokes fall flat.
Strengths
- Interesting concept of fantasy beings living in modern Japan.
Weaknesses
- Humor and cultural references are highly localized to Kanagawa Prefecture, making it difficult for those unfamiliar with the region to understand or appreciate.
- The 'fantasy' element is minimal, with the show focusing more on slice-of-life and regional comedy rather than traditional fantasy tropes.
