Audience Consensus
Audience opinion is significantly divided, with a notable portion feeling the series has lost its original charm and shifted too heavily into a superpower-focused plot. However, a strong contingent still praises the intricate plotting, stunning animation, and cohesive world-building, viewing the changes as a natural evolution of the narrative.
Strengths
- Exceptional animation and visuals that enhance emotional impact.
- Intricate and detailed plotting that rewards attentive viewers.
- Well-paced narrative that avoids filler and maintains viewer engagement.
- Strong world-building and cohesive storytelling across seasons.
Weaknesses
- Shift away from character-driven, emotional anthology format of S1 to a more complex superpower-centric plot.
- New characters often feel shallow or overshadow the protagonists.
- Inconsistent tone, with inappropriate comedy in serious moments (e.g., trafficking scenes).
- Stiffer animation and altered art style compared to previous seasons due to a new studio.
