Synopsis — from MyAnimeList
A manner movie shown before Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu - Hyouketsu no Kizuna.
Audience Consensus
Audience reception is largely indifferent, viewing this as a standard, albeit short, theatrical filler. While Betelgeuse's inclusion and humorous moments are appreciated by some, the lack of substance and connection to the main narrative leaves many feeling it's skippable content.
Strengths
- Betelgeuse's characterization and antics are entertaining.
- Cute illustrations, especially the unexpected humorous depictions of characters.
- The short runtime is a positive.
Weaknesses
- Lack of a substantial story or plot.
- Dialogue can be cheesy and uninspired.
- The 'half-demon' plot device for Emilia is not compelling.
- Animation quality is not exceptional for an OVA.
- Does not feel connected to the main Re:Zero story due to the limited character cast.
