Synopsis — from MyAnimeList
Unaired 13th episode. To thank the group for all their hard work in the past, Shirase invites the party to enjoy the sunny beach. While enjoying the wonderful weather and pristine waters, an accident causes Masato to lose all his memories, including those of Mamako!
Audience Consensus
The audience is split on this OVA, with fans of the original series largely enjoying the familiar humor and fan service, while detractors criticize the poor production values and the problematic incestuous themes. While some found it a satisfying, silly beach episode, others were disappointed by the lack of substance and weak narrative execution.
Strengths
- Maintains the same level of humor, antics, and action as the series.
- Offers enjoyable fan service and cute character designs.
- The original OP is good and enjoyable to hear again.
- Mamako's character interactions and dialogue, especially her purity, are highlighted positively.
Weaknesses
- Art and animation quality are poor and limited, with a lack of effort in drawing.
- The plot is weak, relying heavily on a contrived amnesia storyline.
- Character development for secondary harem members (Wise and Medhi) is neglected.
- The incestuous undertones between Masato and Mamako are a significant point of contention.
- The episode prioritizes fan service over humor, leading to a flat experience for some.
