Synopsis — from MyAnimeList
Originally an April's Fool in 2007, this one episode OVA is a spin-off of the School Days game by 0verflow, and shows Kokoro Katsura, the little sister of one of the main characters, from her other side. A mahou shoujo out to save the world, or something like that.
Audience Consensus
This OVA is a polarizing but enjoyable parody for fans of the original School Days, offering a comedic and lewd departure from the grim narrative. While many find it a hilarious breath of fresh air that redeems characters, others find its humor and reliance on prior knowledge alienating. It's a niche product that succeeds for its intended audience by leaning into its absurdity and fanservice.
Strengths
- A hilarious and refreshing change of pace from the original series
- Successfully parodies the magical girl genre and other tropes
- Redeems some characters and makes them more likable/relatable
- Provides fanservice and lewd humor that works for its target audience
- Cute art style and character designs
Weaknesses
- Not funny for those not familiar with or who don't appreciate the humor
- Relies heavily on knowledge of the original School Days series
- Art and animation are standard, not exceptional
- Pacing can feel rushed due to packing a lot into one episode
