Synopsis

Bataar, a young Mongolian boy, wishes to cure his father's leg that was injured during a war with a neighboring tribe. One day, a white horse suddenly appears before him and Bataar starts a magical journey through time to rewrite history and to prevent the war from ever happening!

Audience Consensus

The audience finds "Daisougen to Hakuba" to be a largely unengaging experience due to its slow plot, underdeveloped characters, and lackluster story. While some appreciate the period music, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment. The poor dubbing further detracts from the experience, making it difficult for viewers to maintain interest.

Strengths

  • Beautiful period music in the background

Weaknesses

  • Boring and slow-moving plot
  • Cardboard and generic characters with no distinguishing features
  • Poor voice acting in the dub
  • Lack of a well-built story
