Audience Consensus

Eat-Man '98 is seen as an improvement over the original, offering a more coherent narrative and better action sequences. However, it still retains some of the odd and bizarre elements that may not appeal to all viewers. Overall, it's considered a niche series that's not spectacular but also not terrible.

Strengths

  • Improved coherence and storytelling compared to the first series.
  • More action and better display of Bolt Crank's abilities.

Weaknesses

  • Odd and bizarre elements, despite the serious mood.
  • The series is not fantastic, niche, and modest.
  • Similar to Eat-Man 97 in the sense that Bolt Crank travels the world, accepts jobs, and moves on, and you are introduced to an entirely new scene and entirely new characters.
