Audience Consensus
Audience reception is mixed, particularly among fans of the original game. While the anime initially captures the charm and adventure of Star Ocean: The Second Story, the incomplete adaptation and deviations from the source material lead to disappointment. Many viewers feel let down by the abrupt ending and the lack of a second season to resolve the plot, creating frustration.
